Accessibility Statement
Pretty Mas is for ALL — and that includes how you experience this site. We are committed to making prettymasxn.com usable and welcoming for everyone, including people who use assistive technology.
Conformance target
We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We design, build, and review every page with those guidelines in mind.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML with proper landmarks (
header, nav, main, footer) and heading hierarchy. - A visible "Skip to content" link on every page.
- Minimum 4.5:1 color contrast for body text and 3:1 for large text.
- Keyboard navigation for all interactive controls, with a visible focus indicator.
- Interactive targets sized at least 44×44 pixels where practical.
- Descriptive alt text on meaningful images; decorative images marked to be ignored by screen readers.
- Explicit form labels, helpful error messages, and live regions that announce form status.
prefers-reduced-motionrespected — animations are minimized when you've set that system preference.- Language declared on every page (
<html lang="en">). - No auto-playing video or audio.
Assistive technologies we test with
- Screen readers: VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), NVDA (Windows)
- Keyboard-only navigation
- Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content
- High-contrast and dark-mode settings
Known limitations
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We're aware that:
- Some lookbook photography is currently represented by gradient placeholders while final art is being produced; descriptive alt text will be added as each piece is photographed.
- Embedded third-party widgets (for example, the Formspree endpoint on the booking form, future calendar integrations) may not always match our in-house accessibility standards. We regularly review them and will escalate issues to the vendor.
